Applications
  • Fiber link testing and monitoring: In fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-building (FTTB) projects, fiber reflectors are used for PON OTDR testing, central machine room reflectivity testing, and communication system link detection to ensure the coverage of the optical network and the stability of user services. Conventional OTDR equipment disconnects the fiber line in use at the fault site, and then connects the fiber to the portable OTDR equipment to determine whether the fiber is disconnected by the reflection peak displayed by the equipment. Fiber reflectors can monitor and test directly in the machine room through reflected signals without disconnecting the fiber link, making it easy to use and maintain the fiber link.
