Product Description
The 100G QSFP28 DWDM (2λ) optical transceiver is designed for 80km data center interconnection in metro area. The transceiver can convert 4 x 25Gbps (NRZ) electrical signals to 2 x 50Gbps (PAM4) optical signals, and also convert 2 x 50Gbps (PAM4) optical signals to 4 x 25Gbps (NRZ) electrical signals, providing a total of 96 nominal DWDM wavelengths (50GHz interval) in the C-Band 191.30THz~196.05THz range, intended for deployment in DWDM network equipment in metro access and core networks. The electrical interface of the module is QSFP28 MSA compliant.

Notes:
1. GND is the symbol for signal and supply (power) common for the QSFP28 module. All are common within the module and all module voltages are referenced to this potential unless otherwise noted. Connect these directly to the host board signal common ground plane. 2. VccRx, Vcc1 and VccTx are the receiving and transmission power suppliers and shall be applied concurrently. Recommended host board power supply filtering is shown below. Vcc Rx, Vcc1 and VccTx may be internally connected within the module in any combination. The connector pins are each rated for
a maximum current of 2000mA.

ESD
This transceiver is specified as ESD threshold 1kV for SFI pins and 2kV for all other electrical input pins, tested per MIL-STD-883, Method 3015.4 /JESD22-A114-A (HBM). However, normal ESD precautions are still required during the handling of this module. This transceiver is shipped in ESD protective packaging. It should be removed from the packaging and handled only in an ESD protected Environment.

Attention
Do not look into fiber end faces without eye protection using an optical meter (such as magnifier and microscope) within 100 mm, unless you ensure that the laser output is disabled. When operating an optical meter, observe the operation requirements. CAUTION-Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
